Scissor Lift Education

A note about the relationship between Length and Stroke of a scissor lift.

A single scissor lift table can have a maximum stroke (vertical movement) of approximately 2/3 the platform length. If a higher stroke is needed for a given platform length then the scissor packages are stacked to form double, triple or multiple scissor units. If the travel is low compared to the required length, then a tandem scissor arrangement is used.
